Hey, guys. Obviously, the page didn't get done this week. I did post the lineart for the first panel, adding Lew's judgemental thoughts to the mix.

My family came out from Omaha(no, really) and visited me in Philadelphia, and then together we all cavorted down to DC for some good old fashioned blood-bonding. I made some pretty rad sketches of dead things while down there - I'll post them tomorrow to make a better update for this week.

*rubs at her eyeballs*

Ah, it feels good to be updating FH again. I was getting to really miss Lew and his fish hand...

Alright, though. Pleasantries aside, there' s a situation I've now come to find myself in. And that is... unemployment. My current job has now dried up and since there's no way to go but forward I'm lining up my ducks to decide where I want to go from here. What I'd really like, more than anything, is to be able to duck out of mainstream grunt work altogether and push into art full time, part of which would involve kicking FH up into a full-time position in my schedule. This would include not just pages but other types of incentives as well as... y'know. Merch.

It is still yet early... And I want to see what sort of update schedule I can settle into for pages.

But hmm. Hmm....

I did a major overhaul of the gallery section! Unfortunately, it was all I could do to get even this much of an update ready for this week. I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to getting out of school... Anyway, I hope you'll have fun looking at the random pretty pictures I posted and have just a little more patience with me in the mean time...

Another of the all-too-common skip weeks, I'm afraid. I'm sure everyone will live.
However, Chelsee and I are working on stuff to populate the rest of the site with (part of the reason this comic's late), so we should have some more interesting stuff for you to read and look at soon. That is, if you like made-up folkore and background information.

Small Content Update

The update is going to have to be smaller this week- sorry guys!

I've gone through and fixed the multiple broken links in the navigation bar (even if it means I had to put up a few "Coming Soon!" place markers >_<.) However, these pages actually ARE coming soon - I just need to organize a lot of the information.

Of the pages risen, I've included a Commission page for people interested in my work ^_^.

Happy American Holiday!

Silly, I know, and I'm not even much of a holiday person, but if there's one celebration I can really get behind (aside from Thanksgiving, where the whole point is to eat one's self into a blind stupor) it's a holiday devoted to blowing things up.

This image was meant to be the TWC voting incentive, but since ComicGenesis seems to be fighting me on this whole hosted-images-viewed-from-other-sites thing, I'm going to post it here for all to see, so I don't feel like a rat.

I'll work out the bugs and put up a new incentive soon.

In the mean time, thanks so much to the people who clicked! If I'm really lucky, maybe a few of you will click even with the incentive down until I can get my sorry act together >_<.

Yes, we do. The more you vote (or donate!) the more of a reason you give Chelsee to neglect job, school and personal hygiene to work on this comic. She needs your support, in the form of clicking. Or even better, making some kind of comment about her art. Comments are like crack for artists. Uh. In a good way.
Or just give her some money; everyone likes money, and paying your way through art school with no financial support makes one appreciate the greenbacks even more, if only for their rarity value. Chelsee is one of the three people in the universe who actually likes pennies. I take this to mean that she requires funding; but she might also just be twisted like that. We'll probably never find out for sure.

If you're having trouble viewing the '4th of July'-themed vote incentive, let us know so we can try to fix it.

Whew, alright, there we go. Homework kept getting in the way of finishing this page >_<.

Of the page: Behold! A demonstration showing that being a light sleeper is not a circumstance-specific talent.

Jareth shaves every morning if he can get so much as half a chance. His facial hair grows in fast, so any lag in his battle of the beard results in immediate stubble.

And it's only predictable that the handle of his straight razor is made of ivory, princeling that he is.

So. I realize that this is possibly the longest it's ever taken for an acorn to fall from a tree, but the new page is almost done and should be up shortly.

Pacing, people. That's what we're talking about.

Also, as a born cynic, I'd like to say that DISNEY WORLD IS SO MUCH FUN. Environmentally questionable, completely engineered and outrageously exploitative it may be; but damn, are they good at what they do. Even Little Miss Detail-Oriented Braid Girl (see her filler sketch) was impressed. Chelsee and I got back with our heads stuffed full of new ideas and our pockets completely drained of cash. We may also have lasting spinal damage caused by going on the Tower of Terror and Expedition Everest approximately 550,000 times.

Hopefully, our future paralysis and past loss of wealth (and misplaced possessions, in my case) will be your gain as we make this story even more interesting.
I know, who could believe it, right??

I'm caught up in the middle of midterms and wasn't able to get the page done this week. Instead, I've put up a random rather old sketch from the old moleskin. Sort of concept-sketch for Alice and Alec: visiting a bar.

The proportions are wildly inaccurate but it wasn't drawn to be perfect. It was just a pre-bedtime sketch.

Pages will return to regular updating schedule next week.

...but I guess even the shadiest men among us must sleep at some point.

The page was a little late today, but I suppose better late than never. Than goodness I only had to paint trees today; man-made structures are a lot harder for me, what with their dependency on... well... structure... Trees are less needy when it comes to general form and shape.

Sorry it seems like nothing is happening, but for the sake of pacing this is how it needs to be.

Major Site Overhaul

Whew... So Spring Break is only a week long for me, but I did my best to take a little advantage of it. As I'm sure you all can see, there's been (and will continue to be) a fair number of changees throughout the site for the next week or so. *scrubs at the side of her face* Oy...

Er, this is a "testing-testing" post, so I'm still figuring out this whole... blog... thing.

Finally fixed a lot of the old link errors that were plaguing me and in the mean time I've developed a plethora of new broken links I need to make pages for! Oh my. What I'm trying to say is that the site is still in the process of getting its act together so bear with me, right?
